Dr. Nikki King is Chief of Staff at Zinnia. Dr. King’s life story was featured in The Atlantic article “America’s Other Epidemic” by New York Times best-selling author Beth Macy. Before joining Zinnia, Dr. King served as Manager of Behavioral Health and Addiction Services at Margaret Mary Health, a leading rural hospital based in Indiana. She began her career researching sustainability models in rural communities at the Center for Business and Economic Research. She currently serves on the Indiana Rural Health Association’s Board of Directors, The American Hospital Association’s Opioid Stewardship Advisory Group, and the National Rural Health Association’s Policy Congress, and serves the founding CEO of the National Rural Minority Health Association. Dr. King received her PhD from Medical University of South Carolina, MBA and MS from Xavier University, and BA from University of Kentucky.
